The Ferrari Testarossa is a high-performance sports car that Ferrari built from 1984 to 1991. Updated versions continued as the 512 TR and F512 M until 1996. Designed by Pininfarina, it was instantly recognisable for its wide body and large side intakes, which channelled air to side-mounted radiators and solved earlier cooling problems.

It was powered by a 4.9-litre flat-twelve engine producing around 390 hp. The car accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in just over five seconds and reached a top speed of almost 290 km/h, while offering a more comfortable cabin and better visibility than many rival supercars of the era.

The Testarossa became an icon of 1980s pop culture, made famous by the TV series Miami Vice and the popular arcade racing game OutRun.
