The S-Class of the 126 series presented in 1979 differed fundamentally from its chrome-flashed predecessor. Considerably more aerodynamic and businesslike in design, the big car naturally impressed with its reliability, durability, perfect engineering and superior driving characteristics.

The Norev model, painted in the rare colour willow green (MB 261), shows the late version of the 126 series, recognisable by the smoothed “Sacco-panels”, as the lower body areas are popularly called.
